 Now comes word from Automotive News (subscription required) that Mazda is back to emphasizing the benefits of clean diesel. Mazda North America CEO Jim O’Sullivan called diesel “a good differentiator,” that would further Mazda’s reputation for “always doing something a little different.”

Chrysler Aspen SUV Review

The Chrysler Aspen is a full-sized SUV designed for heavy towing capacities. It has a body-on-frame design which makes it more like a truck-base SUV than a crossover, and provides good off-roading capabilities. This also provides for a heavier vehicle that lends itself to a rough and tumble ride which requires a more powerful engine with lower fuel consumption. However, its spacious interior provides plenty of room for the family and the extra towing capacity is beneficial for long family trips.

The Chrysler Aspen is comes in two trim levels: the Limited and the Limited HEV. The latter is the hybrid version of this vehicle. Two-wheel or four-wheel drive is available on the Limited and standard features include automatic headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels clad in chrome, fog lamps, a rear parking camera and rear park assist, a driver seat that is powered, a power tail gate, a tilting steering wheel, second row seats that recline and third row seats that split and fold. 2012 Audi S8

Audi today loosed a handful of new images of the upcoming 2012 Audi S8. Revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, the S8 combines the sleek, understated looks of the A8 with a hint of aggression and a whole lot of speed.
The latest images show us some new views of the car, including a good look at the S8's interior, which is just as attractive as the outside. Detail shots of the tachometer and door sill show S8 badging inside in addition to out.
Powered by a twin-turbo V-8 engine good for 520 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque, the S8 is sure to be a riot to drive, though we'll have to hold our final judgment until we get the chance to put one on track.

Mitsubishi Eclipse News

Production of the iconic Japanese sports coupe, the Mitsubishi Eclipse, has officially ended. Built at its former home in Normal, Illinois, the last Eclipse precedes a 22 year history that has reached cult status. Even after nearly one million units were sold, Mitusbishi still followed through with its plan to consolidate its vehicle line up to enter a new era and new brand image. That image, apparently, did not have room for one of their most memorable cars.
To give the last Eclipse a proper send off, Mitusbishi gave the specially equipped model to Mecum Auctions so it could be bid on. The 2012 Kalapana Black was “put together” by Eclipse fans on Mitsubishi’s Facebook page. The only fourth generation model to be equipped with both the commemorative SE package and the 265 horsepower 3.8 liter V6, the last Eclipse features unique, gun-metal 18 inch wheels and special graphics.
Fully loaded with a Rockford Fosgate stereo, rear view camera, sunroof and HID headlamps, the Mitsubishi will be auctioned off at the St. Charles Illinois Auction. Bidding will begin September 17 with no reservation and a $15 entry fee. Proceeds from the sale will go the Japanese Red Cross to aid victims of the March earthquake and tsunami in Japan.Image via Wikipedia

The Yukon and Yukon XL family of full-size SÚVs continues to offer an uncompromising package of capability, comfort and refinement. Both Yukon and Yukon XL are available in SLE (cloth trim) and SLT trim (leather appointments), as well as 2WD and 4WD configurations. Yukon XL offers a three-quarter-ton model. A third-row seat is standard on all Yukon models.
